1: Introduction to Journaling

Have you ever wanted to try journaling or wondered what it was all about?  In this introductory course you will discover:

  • The many health and psychological benefits of journal writing.
  • Common obstacles to journaling and how to easily overcome them.
  • A simple technique proven to get you writing and keep you writing.
  • Practical tips and suggestions for effective and satisfying journaling.
  • How to develop and maintain a journaling practice. 

Together we will be writing, sharing (always optional) and discussing in a kind and compassionate learning environment. The only supplies needed are paper and a writing utensil. There will be ample time for questions and comments and after class you will receive a summary with handouts.  This class will be held live on the Zoom platform.

2: Write With the Light

  • Do you often feel a sense of anxiety as if the weight of the world is on your shoulders?
  • Do you often wish you had someone to talk to who would really listen and not just try to fix and solve problems?
  • Do you ever find yourself awake at night with stress and worry and wish you had an outlet to help rid you of anxiety and get back peacefully to sleep?
  • Would you like to feel more love, peace, joy, and a sense of purpose in your life? 


What if you already possess within you everything you believe you are searching for?  What if you already have a guide within you that is eternally wise, wholly loving, understanding and knows what is best for you but you just can't seem to access this mentor? And what if accessing this "Higher Self" and your Source can be done easily and successfully through journaling?

Within each of us is a "Light" that is eternal, one with Source and embodies all this is and will ever be.  This Light is pure love, all knowing wisdom and the Truth of who we are.  We always have access to this "Light" as it is our true selves, but believing and trusting this can be difficult in this world as we are conditioned to believe in a separate sense of self, and often feel alone .  I can truly relate as I have struggled with anxiety, worry, self-doubt, a belief in separateness for much of my life.  In 2006 I was introduced to journaling and realized that I could access the "Light" within me using writing as a catalyst to joining with my Inner Wisdom.  Using the techniques and practices I have developed in this workshop, I found that my anxiety basically disappeared and my peace and joy increased profoundly.  I have been journaling daily since 2006  and I would love to share with you the life changing journaling techniques I have found to help one quickly and effectively connect with Inner Wisdom/Source and to abide in a space of peace and joy!   


Overview of course topics:

  • Learn the many health and psychological benefits of journaling.
  • Identifying perceived obstacles to communication and connection with Source and ways to overcome these barriers. 
  • Discover journaling techniques specific to accessing Higher Wisdom/Source.
  • Explore art making methods useful in getting out of one's ego and instead connecting with Higher Self.
  • Learn a quick and efficient way to rid yourself of anxiety provoking mind chatter with a simple, proven technique. 
  • Discover different journal methods to assist in developing trust in one's own divinity and stop seeking outside of one's self for peace, love and guidance.
  • Identify ways to establishing a daily journaling practice.


 In this interactive 5 week course we will write, share (always optional) and discuss in a safe and sacred space live on the Zoom platform.  I am confident that at the completion of this course, you will have the skills and tools necessary to easily and effectively access your own Inner Wisdom and "Write With the Light!"

4: Journal to the Self

This course is based on the ground-breaking work of Kay Adams, MA: journaling pioneer and founder of The Center for Journal Therapy. In this 6 week class you’ll explore 18 unique journaling techniques that will help you gain knowledge about various aspects of yourself, your life and your relationships with others. 


Whether you are a dedicated journal keeper or simply curious about journal writing, this workshop will give you plenty of ideas and inspiration on how to overcome stress and creative blocks. Through group discussion and inspiring in-class writing exercises, we’ll explore how your personal journal can help you safely release strong emotions, access your inner wisdom, clarify your goals and find comfort, healing and peace.
